No two events should feel exactly the same. About Last Night offers flexible live entertainment packages for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations, ranging from intimate acoustic performances to full-scale live shows, interactive entertainment and orchestra productions. Rather than forcing your event into a standard package, we look at the venue, audience, schedule and atmosphere you want to create and build the entertainment accordingly.
DANCEFLOOR SYMPHONY
Dancefloor Symphony takes the energy of a live party band and combines it with the scale, emotion and sheer power of orchestral musicians.
The concept was born from a simple question: What would happen if you took the songs we already know fill dance floors and added an entire orchestra?
The answer is a live entertainment experience designed to feel very different from the traditional band-and-orchestra concert. This isn’t an audience sitting quietly while the orchestra performs. This is a dance floor.
About Last Night performs alongside a professionally assembled orchestra or orchestral ensemble, with specially arranged versions of recognisable rock, pop and party favourites creating a show that grows from big musical moments into a full-scale celebration. The format can be adapted according to the event, venue and budget, from selected orchestral musicians enhancing the band through to a large-format orchestra production.

TAKE THE MIC

With Take the Mic, you become the lead singer of a real live band. Choose a song from our specially curated Live Band Karaoke songbook, put your name down and wait for your moment. When your name is called, the stage is yours. About Last Night becomes your backing band and performs the song live while you take centre stage.

Create the right atmosphere from the very beginning with live music options tailored to your ceremony. From meaningful entrance songs to live acoustic performances while guests arrive, we can help shape the music around the moment.
CANAPÉS & PRE-RECEPTION
Keep the atmosphere flowing while guests mingle, have drinks and wait for the reception to begin. Depending on the feel of your wedding, we can create something relaxed and acoustic or begin gradually lifting the energy before everyone heads inside.
RECEPTION & PARTY
This is where About Last Night really comes alive. Our live dance sets are built around the crowd rather than a rigid playlist. We prepare extensively beforehand, but once the party starts, we read the dance floor and adjust. If a genre is working, we stay there. If the crowd wants something different, we move. If everybody suddenly decides they need to scream the chorus of an early-2000s song together, we are absolutely not going to stand in their way. Our extensive repertoire allows us to move between generations and musical styles while keeping the dance floor connected.
DJ • SOUND • LIGHTING • SPECIAL EFFECTS
We can also provide the technical elements surrounding your entertainment, including DJ services, professional sound, lighting and selected special effects. The advantage is simple: fewer suppliers, fewer moving parts and one entertainment team managing the music from the important moments through to the final song.
CORPORATE EVENTS
Corporate entertainment requires a slightly different skill set. The production needs to run professionally, timing matters, formalities matter and the entertainment needs to work for an audience that may span different ages, cultures, departments and musical tastes. And once the speeches are finished? You still need a band capable of getting everybody onto the dance floor.

About Last Night provides live entertainment for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, family celebrations, fun days and private events of all shapes and sizes. Because private parties are personal, the music should be too.
We’ll work with you to understand your guests, your favourite music and the atmosphere you want before creating an entertainment package around the celebration. That might mean laid-back live music while everyone arrives followed by a full dance set.
